“I’m just hoping if I keep saving my money, and keep my grades up in school then next year, when we have to start applying for colleges, I’ll get into a good one.” He has a lot of future plans for himself, “I thought about going into the culinary arts, but I really have a passion for music, so I figure I could give that a shot. Dad always wanted me to get a sports scholarship. Don’t get me wrong, I love lacrosse and baseball, but there are others things I want to do too.”
Though he didn’t mention it then, Steve was relatively sure that letters of recommendation from both him and Tony would certainly get Pierce into whatever college he chose. He’d have to bring that up with Tony when he got home. “Whatever you decide, just make sure you’re doing what makes you happy. You know what working just to get by is like, so find something that you’ll look forward to doing every day."
